Lap-Top Hip-Hop
Turns out it was Hermano who sent me the MC Lars tshirt: he went to see him at the Oxford Zodiac a couple of days before - apparently he was selling tshirts just before he went on stage (Lars, not Hermano). Hermano said it was really good, therefore cannae wait until Truck even more.
My friends Fitzbar and Doc came up from Reading this weekend. We went out to the Goose in Moseley for a couple of pints, where i seemed to know quite a few people. Don't know if i'm happy about starting to know people round the manor, but it's nice in a way. After this we went back to mine and stayed up til a rediculous time playing poker - i won quite a lot.
F & D didn't get up for ages on sunday. Was well bored waiting for them, as i'd gotten up at like ten in order to show them the sights of Brum.GS came round in the afternoon, and we watched The Love Bug. What the hell is going on with Buddy Hackett's face?
Anyway. I gave GS some cd's that i'd gotten from Engineer Records: Fugo, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Babies Three and Cohesion. Fugo are Swiss, PMFS and B3 are english, and Cohesion are Italian hardcore. They all scream a lot. I suggest you seek them out (if you can't find anything, try some other Engineer stuff here).
Eventually Fitzbar and Doc got up (after GS had left), and we went to the Academy to see New Model Army. They were headlining a bill of five bands, but cos we got there so late we only saw NMA. They seemed quite good; we were all pretty tired and so maybe didn't appreciate it as much as we could've.
Went home and went to bed.
