Individuals must be encouraged to express their imagination by giving them as much freedom as possible to germinate creative solutions to given problems. While many tools and techniques for encouraging creativity are to be found on the bookshelves, one of the most useful approaches is to avoid negative behaviour within the group, especially destructive statements such as:

I don't like it;

it is not practical;

it is not our job to change that;

it is not done in that way here; and
